look back and see how the world swirls
It has been 4 weeks since the start of school and it has been really hectic. On my heaviest week, I spend like 39 hours in lessons. It really felt like I have been running here and there. I keep getting stuck in traffic jams these days especially when I'm trying to reach school around 9+ and I leave school at 6+.
I spent the time I'm stuck in traffic jam thinking. I do feel old, especially when I look around and I see those people in school uniform and it reminds me I'm like a generation away from them. Just half a decade ago, I was like them. Now, it's all so different. Oh well.

Someone's paternal instincts are tickled huh?
Yeah, one does feel old when one sees all those uniformed kids studying at school. I think that the situation is particularly acute if one is undergoing higher education, because the feeling of agedness goes beyond years---it is also related to the level of perception, since more education leads to a more penetrating type of perception, i.e. "maturity".
That said, no matter how smart you are, how much you have learnt, always remember that you are a human being first, a geek/nerd next. This is particularly so because your social circle is always shrinking as years go by, and your focus in life will be split between work and general life, and the latter often gets little air time compared to the former.
