Hike III (11 Dec 2011)
Woodcutter's trail
The whole bunch of us (YT, Colin, JR and KC) met at Bukit Timah Market and had our lunch. Then, we walked to Bukit Timah hill and climbed to the summit. We took Summit Path again before taking the North View route. We headed towards Chestnut Ave and began our epic hiking that took us between Upper Seletar Reservoir and Upper Pierce Reservoir.
It was a good thing that I brought my GPS along as it was loaded with some hiking maps. We were attempting to follow some rundown trail that brought us next to the Upper Pierce Reservoir. However, as it was rundown, somethings we lost the trail due to a fallen tree blocking our way or some other obstacles and we had to bash through the forest. Finally, we made it to a more worn out route which was the Woodcutter's trail. Our hike ended with prata for dinner at Casuarina.
Total distance: 15km
Total time: 6h
For anyone interested, you can click here for the hike (which included some geocaches that we initially intended to do. In fact, we found 2 but logged only 1). I think BaseCamp is required to view it.
