I've attended a talk by Professor Jeffrey Ullman, a renowned computer scientist about the technology behind google search engine and Professor H T Kung about the future of studying Computer Science. What struck me most was my question posed to the professors "Given the importance of mathematics in computer science, isn't it wise to study mathematics?" and I got a flat no from Professor Jeffrey Ullman. He had a Bsc in Engineering Mathematics and a Ph.d in electrical engineering. The talk explained to me why when I search for roticv, what that popped up are references to faim. Mr Gi happened to be there too.
I met up with 2 of my friends yesterday and we are all walking different paths. I felt really sad when we have to part.
I've missed out the briefing for ACM-ICPC. Arghz
Oh someone picked up my black notebook and contacted me. Collected it from her. I'm rather glad I didn't lose all those memories.
