Christmas

Merry Christmas to all.

And so results are out and I thought I should write about my views of the modules I have read this semester. I start off by say how much I hated the lecturer for Living with Chemistry (GEK2500). Bloody hell. His views are so contradictory. I'm still rather upset that he gave my group the lowest mark for the group project and he probably anyhow marked the midterms. bah.

The next module I wanted to write about was PC1142, which was on thermodynamics and optics. I must say this is the module that I really learnt a lot in relation to our daily life. 2nd Law of thermodynamics changed my perspective of heat engines and heat pumps. The chapter on optics taught me all kind of stuff like why we see rainbow like pattern in that puddle of oil, what is astigmatism, short-sightedness, long-sightedness, why blue-ray DVD can store more data than CD-roms and so on. Like what I've commented to my friend before the final papers for this module, every time I read my notes, I realised that there are things I've never learnt before. The most classic moment for this module would when I told Zhihui that she should be using considering the image formed as airy disc and she replied saying "you mean our pupils are circular?".

For MA1102, I feel that I was really careless and should have done better for that module. MA1100 turned out much better than mid-terms. I feel that the thing about math papers are that they tend to set papers that are not meant to be finished with the given time and are out to kill people in general.

For CS1101x, I still remember what happened when I went to collect my PE scripts from my lecturer, Mr Aaron Tan. He said that actually I didn't need to collect my script. He went on to ask whether I was from Science and took part in NOI before.
