Sem 5 Week 2
2 weeks of school has passed and I can feel the workload piling. I really got to pull my act together to get everything to work out well. My dreams, my goals - I have sacrificed a lot for them and I hope things will bear fruit. On a lovely note, the Singapore team for IOI did extremely well - 1 Gold, 1 Silver and 2 Bronze. The gap between the gold and silver was extremely close - 2 points difference. I feel that this is the best results in years. Looks like there is a chance of Singapore obtaining 2 golds next year. As one of the trainers, it gives me a sense of achievement that I've done something. Well done everyone!
Yesterday I've attended my first lecture in a graduate module - Logic and Foundation of Mathematics (MA5219). It was pretty much accessible because it was a quick summary covered in MA4207 and the lecturer did a good job in explaining things. He made a remark that Tarski's definition of truth is the same as saying the following:
"Snow is white" if and only if snow is white.
I have essay due next month. It is a terrible thing.
