Hello April. I shall pepper my post with rants.

One thing I really do not like about army is that you can feel your time being wasted away while and you don't feel that you are not paid enough. For instance, I got mobilized last Saturday and was held back in the camp waiting for our turn to go through weapon handling revision. I think it is a terrible waste of time given that we went through range during our last ICT. Surely, we can fire the SAR21. Yesterday, I found out that the government is only paying me $12.34 for being mobilized and having my Saturday wasted.

On the bright side, I can feel that I'm a few step closer to Palo Alto. I have my interview with the USA embassy scheduled on Thursday (I heard it will be a long wait) and I have almost confirmed my flight plans. The next thing to settle would be accommodation. I had requested for permission to stay an extra week in USA and my request was granted! At the current stage, I'm quite keen about flying to the East Coast and visiting Washington DC.
