Summer

Summer seems have arrived at the bay area. It is getting warmer these days.

CS5230 - Complexity Theory
This is the computer science module that I have learned the most. Sadly, due to my heavy workload, it is also the module that I neglected the most (also partly because I know I can SU it). The finals were extremely difficult and I was sorta expecting a B. Turns out that I was wrong.

MA3110S - Mathematical Analysis II
I'm really glad that I got a good analysis lecturer if not I would have done badly. My analysis skills are really terrible and I'm glad I managed to pull through.

MA3201 - Algebra II
I was very slack for the first half of the semester due to various reasons. It was a pretty easy module as I had gone through the materials myself some time back and also because I did the modules in a strange order (Galois then Algebra II). I would have liked it more if more advanced topics were covered or if NUS has a more advanced topic undergraduate Algebra course.

MA4263 - Introduction to Analytic Number Theory
As always with number theory, the content is very interesting. I think the content covered in the module is not very difficult.

MA4292 - Undergraduate Topics in Mathematics II
This was the most fun class I had. Just three students in the class and the lecturer went at a pace that killed almost everyone. I think up to now, I don't fully appreciate what I have learned and it will take a while for everything to sink into me. The book that Prof Loke went through was really deep and I doubt I would have survived reading it myself. I needed someone to hold my hands to walk through this topic.

On the whole, I feel that I went through yet another extremely stressful semester as I pushed myself to achieve what I think I should be achieving. On the other hand, I don't think I was that stressed out, just that I am always out of time. Time is running out for me. I need to make a decision soon.

And so I am a year 4 student.
